sausalito is a very pleasant artistic city and residential area, not to mention a very popular tourist attraction within the bay area. just like most of the southwestern ‘american’ coast, this land roots way back into the mexican soils. given its strategic location, it has always been a major transit center, involving alcohol contraband during prohibition and warship building in world war two. however, nowadays all there is left is peace and quiet.
